I think if Clarke plays on the left then his natural game is to cut in, which works with Leif. We started to see that last season but the Clarke was sacrificed when we picked up red cards and Leif missed games. This season, due to options, KM has played Clarke our right and it hasnt worked. I think now we have McAteer and Egeli we'll see Clarke starting on the right . The difficulty is then integrating Philogene into the system as he wants the same space as Leif, whereas Szmodics -when on the left- also wants to drift in I think getting Philogene into the system is the biggest headache and an expensive one that KM has to solve Edited to correct my right from left or vice versa [Post edited 2 Sep 11:31]

What knee issue? Everyone talks about how we have to manage his knees but no one can offer any concrete evidence he has knee issues. I'm aware that when he came to club he was recovering and we had to manage his time but what knew isse does Jens have? |

Who's excited? Nah, me neither. I just hope the players we have live up to their potential, if so we'll have a good season and come January we'll be looking at pushing on for promotion. Let's let KM have a couple of weeks with the team and see how we look then.. |

Totally agree. I use to like reading their write up and player ratings but I'm not subscribing just for that. If i was that bothered I'd bypass their firewall but quite happily getting my news from the number one source of Ipswich news on the web - TWTD! |

On a day that has seen many town fans puzzled about our transfer dealings I believe the major issues are: we haven't started well which has made us fans question things more O'Shea/Greaves should be impenetrable at this level - they've looked vulnerable Leif hasn't found his flow with a settle player in front of him Clarke/Philogene haven't produced....yet Hirst hasn't looked looked like the forward we know he can be... powerful running behind defences and holding ball up and laying it off. Our right side has been all wrong..after having Omari for two seasons alongside Burns and losing both the right had side just hasn't clicked All these things can be fixed and if done so quickly then we'll have a good season but, should things not click and results not happen, then the boo boys will be out calling KM and MA out. We have a strong squad with depth but time will tell if the strength and depth will work out. |

In the current transfer climate I think thats a bargain. He's got so much experience and still so young. Not sure Villa is best move for him but think they have a bargain.... |

If this is our squad, as it stands, Im not as confident as I was beginning of season of top 2. Obviously we have the January window but KM really has to get us all on same wavelength to challenge at the top. I think other challenger's have had a successful transfer window and started better. |

Leicester look to have trumped their Championship promotion rivals Wrexham to the signing of young Wales international midfielder Jordan James. Leicester are progressing in their talks with Rennes over a loan deal for the 21-year-old, who has three years left on his contract in France. James is thought to be keen on the idea of a move to King Power Stadium, and there is optimism an agreement can be reached in time before tonight's deadline. |

Personally I expected around £6-7m. Premier League experience, just signed new contract. Time will tell who got the better deal |

I feel Coventry have got a bargain. |
