 | Forum Thread | Support for a friend's mental health at 19:24 26 Apr 2025
A friend of mine has been suffering with his mental health for a while, hes been very low and admits to being suicidal. He reached out and while while his GP has been great with medication and signing him off, he's still waiting for counselling after 6 months and none of the charities offered support in his area of Cambridgeshire. He's used some of his down time to study a mental health level 2 course and has now created a business selling mental health awareness merchandise..he wants to use profits to make sure every town and city has peer support groups so men can get local help when they need it. Hes also a lifelong town fan... please check out his website and social media www.zenmen.co.uk Please share around and ,if you can afford to, please buy some of his merchandise help other men struggling... |

 | Forum Thread | Does lack of activity today show we are resigned to relegation? at 18:34 3 Feb 2025
It was suggested earlier on SSN that the lack of activity today by the current bottom three suggests those three are resigned to be relegated and do not wish to hamper their financial obligations by gambling on a "staying up" signing. Thoughts? |
 | Forum Thread | Have we always had an eye on championship next year..... at 18:29 3 Feb 2025
Looking at our signings since promotion how many of the players were signed in keeping us in Premier and how many were longer time signings in building a squad to bounce back quickly and continue to build after relegation. Apart from the success of Delap you could argue that all signings were top end championship signings and I would imagine Delap was also expected to be "one for the future". |
 | Forum Thread | Delap to Arsenal at 13:06 3 Feb 2025
Tim Sherward on Sky Sports saying Arsenal should get Delap. Thinks £40m would get him and he'd be able to impact Arsenal now and develop under Arteta going forward to provide a sticker solution for the future. He says £40m is peanuts for Arsenal but thinks if we let him go we'd be acknowledging relegation. TO be clear.. He didn't say this was going to happen or either in discussion but he did think it would be a no brainier. |
 | Forum Thread | If that result doesn't prove we need reinforcement... at 17:53 1 Feb 2025
I don't know what does. We need a settled defence. We shouldn't be too loyal to players who are struggling. We need to be quicker and more decisive going forward. We are desperate for a central midfielder and forward to have a chance of salvaging the season but KM needs to have a plan b going forward. |
 | Forum Thread | Work from home - ideas and opportunities at 11:31 31 Jan 2025
As a 52yo man I've found myself currently off work for 4 months with severe depression. I have good and bad days which means I cannot return to work working in sales (both face to face and telephone). I'm starting to accept I may not be able to return to the job I've done for over 30 years. Is anyone aware of WFH jobs that can be completed at anytime. Due to my depression my sleep pattern is all over and a job I could complete at the times I'm able would be ideal. I was thinking of some sort of data input but open to the collective brain of TWTD |

from winning position this season. If only we'd managed to salvage a few of those lost points it would be very very different. |
 | Forum Thread | Szmodics and Chaplin as the 10 at 12:08 9 Dec 2024
I briefly mentioned it yesterday but I do think we are better when we start Hutch on the right wing. I know he wants to play 10 but think, atm, he's better suited on wing with Szmodics and Chaplin taking turns in the 10.this would keep some energy and strength in depth in this position. Although I do think it then causes us issues on the left... As J Clarke just hasn't stepped up (yet). Perhaps it's time to try Broadhead starting there ot or Townsend as both would protect Leif and enable him to get forward more. I also believe that at some point KM will stumble across the right partnerships as I don't think he's sure yet of best players for this level. Like many I'd like to see Jens and KP in midfield and, perhaps when Morsy gets suspended, it will be the time we realise that is our best CM pairing. We may not be good enough to stay in the league but I think we have to manage games better and, for once, I believe Kieran was slow making changes yesterday which eventually cost us. |

with Hutchinson on the right! I know he wants to play in the 10 but at the moment we have Chappers and Szhmodics that can play that position but Burns (IMO) just hasn't stepped up and its become a weak spot that Omari fills well! Edited as I don't know my left from my right! [Post edited 8 Dec 2024 15:02]

 | Forum Thread | 12 games in, only won one, in relegation zone at 11:39 25 Nov 2024
But there is huge optimism in the supporters that we'll be OK. Obviously none of us know but find a club with a similar record where supporters are so optimistic. Our performances and ability to compete this season will hopefully repay the optimism we all feel! But in all honesty where do everyone think we will finish in the table? |
 | Forum Thread | Delap - off in January? at 16:56 10 Nov 2024
It was hinted at the the end of the game in the studio that someone would come in for Delap in January as he's impressed so much in a very difficult start for us. Is this media talk or what's the possibility of some players who have impressed at this level being tempted elsewhere or do we have faith that we'll keep everyone KM wants in January? |

 | Forum Thread | KM says what we all know at 17:58 2 Nov 2024
"I thought when it was 11 v 11, it was a really good performance and we were the better team and deserved to be ahead. The game swings and goes from what I thought was a penalty and maybe 2-0 to us. I thought we managed the game very well. With 11 v 11, it was a really good performance. I was proud of the effort with 10 men. I thought we deserved to win today. "The last thing I want to do is speak about VAR because it's happened for the last three weeks. For me, it's a penalty [Conor] Chaplin is in the box and gets barged over. It shouldn't need VAR. The ball bounced out in the same couple of seconds and I know you can slow it down. As Kalvin [Phillips] realises, he pulls his foot out. You don't need to give a second yellow. I don't think any referee should put himself in the middle of that. |
