| Forum Thread | 17 games till the Transfer window opens again! at 13:37 31 Aug 2024
Exactly half the Premier League games! Let's start speculating on the wonderful January transfer window we will have and who we will sign to push our season on - as we have done the last few years! |
| Forum Thread | Tammy Abrahams.. at 17:22 29 Aug 2024
While we are all throwing names out of potential strikers we could sign... |
| Forum Thread | We gave them three goals at 17:03 24 Aug 2024
still not convinced it was a pen! Two keeper errors... City probably have another couple of gears and Haaland is a generational goalscorer! Plenty of positives for us. Season starts next week! |
| Forum Thread | Nothing we didnt expect.... at 16:02 24 Aug 2024
In two years we have progressed from League One to be playing Liverpool and Man City in out first two games of Premier League Football in 22 years! These two games will not define our season. I suspect, although they'd never admit it, that these two games are almost being treated as Pre-season - in that its a chance to see where we need to be and results not expected. I think we've learned that there is top-six bias in referee/VAR decisions. We also know we must be perfect in decisions, especially in and around both boxes- you cant give chances and have to take chances. We also have to be fitter to play how we want to play. We have to be brave and recycle the ball if can't retain possession. We definitely cannot give one of the best teams on the planet three goals! I'm still confident that I've seen enough in our team to think we'll survive. Stop the panic! Enjoy the journey! Stick together and run towards adverisity! |
| Forum Thread | Aaron Ramsdale on loan at 19:08 9 Jul 2024
With Reya permanently at Arsenal now and their number 1, how would we feel about taking Ramsdale on a loan to solve our GK position and give him first team football? |
| Forum Thread | This is all a ploy by the master tactical genius KM at 22:36 23 May 2024
He wants to destabilise all Premier league clubs and managers by being linked with them and their jobs.... All the time being totally committed to Ipswich. This destabilises all the other clubs and they struggled to get a settled team and the Ipswich dream continues and we continue our run of finishing 2nd - just behind Arsenal... |
| Forum Thread | My tuppence worth at 21:37 22 May 2024
We all have our opinions and very few people know what is happening with our manager and our club, none of us want him to leave. I honestly thought KM wouldn't leave as he'd had great success quickly and has time, money to build a legacy by cementing our future in the PL. Realistically a good cup run and an interest in a European place is the best we can hope for in next five years - and while that would see us stable and competitive (and the majority of realistic fans content), is that really the success that KM wants? While the Suffolk lifestyle may be great for his family I get the feeling KM wants the City life and the challenge of "Europe or big club". The current state of Chelsea and Man U actually means he could go there without huge pressure - succeed and his stock rises, fail and blame it on basket case clubs. Brighton is currently a step up and would give him a challenge and a realistic chance of measurable success. I'm now starting to think we had more chance of KM staying had we missed out on promotion as, while improvement would be noted, success wouldn't have brought the attention. If KM wasn't seriously considering his future I would have expected a statement from him by now stating "flattered by media talk, fantastic clubs being linked with but started a project and learning his trade and would like to finish the project and see contract out" - but this hasn't happened. I hope I'm wrong but I feel he will go. If he does he'll go with our good will and we'll move on, change the songs and hope it's Ashton that's the genius and it wasn't all KM. For now, we have memories and hope and only one can be taken. |
| Forum Thread | Kayden Jackson at 10:24 4 May 2024
I expect today will be Jackson's last game in a Town shirt. While he hasn't been the greatest player his endeavor and perseverance to stick at our club during some very difficult days and make a telling contribution this season has to be admired. I hope he signs off today with his held held high and cheers ringing in his ears! |
| Forum Thread | I never thought this day would come again...... at 10:20 4 May 2024
Like many I have been an Ipswich Fan a long time and while I dont attend as much as I did the love doesnt fade. Two years ago, when we were languishing in League one and relying on journeymen and loans in a tired-looking stadium watching the rich clubs get richer, I thought we'd neve play at the top level again. I won't be at Portman Road today and while I would have loved it to be time for a new generation of Town fans to experience something special that will live with them like Oxford away and Wembley stick with me. There may well be tears today but this journey has been amazing |
| Forum Thread | This season.. at 14:40 1 May 2024
We have lost the least amount of games in the division, scored the most goals in the division and YET some teams below still call us lucky.. On another note.. All the media talk of championship being unpredictable and topsey turvey... The pessimist in me is still dreading a sting in the tail on Saturday knowing another booking for Morsy means he'd miss all the playoffs... 😠|
| Forum Thread | Last Season's last three games.... at 17:48 27 Apr 2024
Last season we went into the last three games sitting in third place! We won the first two of those three and drew the last game! I'd settle for a repeat of that! |
| Forum Thread | Do we want this.... at 14:30 13 Apr 2024
Leicester lost, Leeds lost.... This is now about desire... DO WE WANT THIS? |
| Forum Thread | Norwich Hangover!! at 15:09 6 Apr 2024
Never fancied us today! It just looked like their players wanted it more. Unfortunately, too many of our players looked off it today. The season isn't over but if we suffer from a downturn in performance and results that we had after we last played Norwich then WE WILL NEVER STOP HEARING IT! While they may be promoted via playoffs - although I doubt it! Their whole fan base will be content with stopping us from being promoted and, if our standards slip following this setback, then be prepared to hear about it for the next ten years! The season isn't over but Watford is a massive test! |
| Forum Thread | Watford! at 17:06 1 Apr 2024
Watford are the sort of team that will give us problems, there are certainly no easy games in the championship. Whatever happens it's been a great season but success increases expectations and its something we all need to remember! |
| Forum Thread | No time to flounce at 14:34 9 Mar 2024
Always thought Cardiff would be tough... Team look tired. We go again. It's been a success of a season whatever happens |
| Forum Thread | John-Jules at 16:16 31 Dec 2023
Could John-Jules be someone who we're interested in? Obviously we know all about him. Currently on loan at Derby until January. Might be worth getting him back on loan as what we saw of him previously wasn't all bad! Thoughts? |
