Possession of the football 23:34 - Dec 14 with 693 viewscbower

Delighted with the win. For 70 minutes we just about shaded it. Once they scored, well it was very nervy wasn’t it. To score with seconds to go is, of course, a fantastic feeling but tbroughout the game we were very loose in possession for me. The standout occasion being when O'Shea, under no real pressure, just passed it straight to a Wolves player on the touchline and two passes later they really should’ve equalised. On at least half a dozen occasions we surrendered possession with loose passing undr no real pressure or we punted long balls into the channels when nobody was anywhere to be seen. We seem to have periods of blind panic in every game. That’s not just the expected spells of opposition pressure, but poor ball retention and aimless hoofing. Then we seem to regain composure and start playing again. I guess it's the elusive 90 minutes we're after.
I'm proud of our club, proud of their efforts on and off the pitch. Just want to see us play through spells of pressure better and handle the football with more care when executing relatively simple passes.

Fortunately we have a large contingent of players who know how to play together from our L1 days to reduce the panic a bit. The Chappers-Burns and Burg-Morsy-Leif connections being clear evidence of that.

Cajuste was great again today and Wes needed a game like that to build his confidence a little. We miss Axel for sure though Harry wasn't as exposed today as he has been at times this season.

Great to see the Jacks combine for the winner and of course the all important opener was down to the one player in the side who can do that - he will be missed next weekend.

Think when we can start subbing morsy it will help. He can't be expected to perform for 90 minutes.

There were times late on where we were playing at the back. Ball went to taylor the usual ball would be inside to morsy but he was fked. Just stood outside our box right next to a wolves player. No effort to make a pass on for taylor. That's not morsy. But you could tell his legs were gone.

When we can keep cajuste on and bring morsy off I think we will see much calmer closing stages of games.
