Usual stuff on here, but some thoughts that I've been able to refine on the A14.
We were good, and carried a threat all the way up to the first goal. Once the first goal went in, heads went and we didn't really compete again. Disappointing the way it went, but it looks, for the first time as though confidence is low.
Watching Doku literally walking past Godfrey to score their 4th was frustrating. We really need a settled defence, I think with time it'll improve but short term we need a settled defensive unit.
I don't know if it was tactical but I couldn't understand why Davis was constantly checking back when in position high up on the left. I wanted him to drive to the line and fire a cross in, and probably as a result, increase the corner count.
Liam Delap really is on a different level compared to the rest of our players, hopefully we can add to the squad in the next two weeks.
We are being constantly overrun in midfield.
Man City have a spectacular repertoire of chants, but most of them I couldn't understand a word of them, and I sit right next to them in the SAR Lower. A lot of times it sounded like none of them knew the words and were just making random noises to a tune. |  |
