One of our poorest performances, and we were arguably playing better in some respects during those early games in spells, especially at the back, than we are now. In fact, 5 of our first 6 Premier League games were decent shifts and we were unlucky not to beat Fulham and Villa, even against Brighton we had chances. Southampton we got lucky! |  |

Funny, as my memory is that we were much the better team in the first half and dominated the ball against Soton in a way we hadn't done the previous season, but they created the two best chances - hit the post on a break and scored from us giving the ball away in our own box. We didn't play well in the second half, until we pushed in the last 10 mins. |  | | |
