The thing that really grated on me, after KMck's press conference yesterday, was all the talk of today's game not being a "must win" game, as for me today, was exactly that and the fact we lost to one of the worst premiership teams there's ever been is not acceptable... having spent £120 million are we much further forward compared to last season? Could even argue with regressed somewhat.. absolutely gutted tonight.. [Post edited 1 Feb 20:23]

Thing for me, we weren't ever expected to beat the likes of Man City and Liverpool.. but, you'd have fancied our chances against Southampton today... we really should have beaten them... their first point under the new manager.. it was just a really bad result today and although not cut adrift at the bottom, if we want to avoid relegation then we need to up it for sure | | | |

Agreed, it's a mentality issue... the only hope is the message given to the players isn't the same message he gave in the press conference..
Last season the mentality was strong, as we kept fighting til the very end, hence the amount of late goals..

What makes you think we were ever in for Ramsdale or that he would have come here. Southampton had only had one season out of the premier league and before that had been in there for several years. They were, on paper, a more attractive option than us when they signed him early in the window [Post edited 1 Feb 21:07]

To be fair, i think you misunderstood my point.. I referenced Ramsdale because he was playing for the opposing team today and happens to be a top keeper..
I didn't imply that we were ever interested in Ramsdale at any point.. I was merely suggesting that had we had the opposition keeper in our team we win that game today | | | |
