If McKenna had left in the summer 08:24 - Feb 2 with 906 views | CopfordBlue | and the new manager had overseen the last 7 months - same transfers in and out, tactics, results, performances - would you have the same view of the season and management of the team as you have now? I wouldn’t. I’d be more critical of several of the transfers, how we were playing and the results. I’d probably want the manager replaced. I’m not one who would boo but could understand the frustrations of those that do. The team we’re watching isn’t the team that got us promoted and certaintly isn’t the one who got us out of league one. Fans are entitled to criticise when things go badly. Differing opinions and perspectives are one of main reasons football is such a great sport. It’s also the reason this forum is so enjoyable. If we lose every game between now and the end of the season and then follow it up with a mediocre start to next season, I’d still want KM to be our manager. We’ve seen how he’s transformed our club. We know what he can do. He’s a young and still relatively inexperienced manager but I believe he’s an exceptional one. I’m sure that in private (and maybe in public in future) he would acknowledge that he has made some significant mistakes this season. He’s a man who has forgotten more about the game than I’ll ever know, so if I can see it then he definitely can. He’ll be better for his errors though. He’s a better manager now than he was 9 months ago. We all improve in our jobs with time and experience. It’s the tough times that give you what you need to get better. He is and always will be one of the best managers our great club has ever had. He’s also the best manager for us now and for as long as he’s happy to stay. I get the frustration and there’s nothing wrong with questioning much of what we’re seeing but it should be measured and kept in the context of the speed with which the club has moved forward. McKenna conducts himself impeccably and represents our club in a way that only the legendary Sir Bobby has in the past. We’re very lucky to have him and now more than ever he needs to feel the love that the vast majority of fans have for him.

If McKenna had left in the summer on 08:37 - Feb 2 with 785 views | Blue_Heath | Agree with you bar your third paragraph. If next season doesn't go well after 15 games we need to act quick. Problem is he is on a huge money contract so may not be able to afford to do so. I'd love him to stay take us back up and keep us up I really would but sometimes things just run their course. I hope that isn't the case, this season for me we were always going down but I have to be honest I am not liking the manner of it, too Lambertesque like the relegation season.

This doesn’t feel anything like the Lambert relegation season to me. It reminds me more of our last relegation season from the premier league - too much change too quickly (less necessary then than now ), talented players but it not coming together. History tells us that after a poor start the following season Burley went which at the time I felt was the wrong decision .

If McKenna had left in the summer on 08:45 - Feb 2 with 712 views | BloomBlue | Interesting question, and similar to my mates question in the pub after the game. If KM had left in the summer and we had hired Rob Edwards and we had the same recruitment, performances and results would you be calling for his sacking now? We all agreed yes... but... we all felt given how far KM has taken us in a short period and he's clearly on a learning curve himself then he deserves to see out this season. We're all also of the opinion he will leave in the summer irrelevant of which league we're in.

Not even sure how sacking KM can even be a question asked by anyone. It's a miracle we're even here and to sack him would be completely stupid.

We were in a right mess when Burley left, he left us with a reasonable squad which Royle did resuscitate, had we have had another 4 or 5 games, we'd have probably made the playoffs and won them
