What has this season taught you? 09:24 - Feb 2 with 2409 viewsRegencyBlue

For me it’s that in general there is a massive gulf in quality between a very good Championship player and a middling PL player!

Our transfer strategy of buying the best in the Championship hasn’t really worked, although given the limits on the amount of money we are allowed to spend it’s hard to see what else we could have realistically done. The £100million+ we have spent would probably only have bought maybe 3 established PL players and it’s doubtful that would have been enough anyway.

The PL is fast becoming a closed shop. Once again the three promoted sides look as if they will be relegated. Hard to see it changing anytime soon.

That bringing in a load of new players who then, Delap and Cajuste aside, are unable to perform to the required standard dents my passion for the side. I'll forever be a blue but it doesn't feel like the club I followed up to last summer. I knew the Premier League was poisoning football; I just didn't realise to what extent.

Poll: Who would you play at right centre back on Saturday?
