I ended up watching the Ross Kemp documentary on Eastenders tonight 22:13 - Feb 17 with 786 views | davblue | Thought it was actually pretty decent. Not watched Eastenders for 10 years or so but growing up watching it, it was a very nostalgic hour or so and like he says some of the big storylines have had a cultural impact. I can’t see Eastenders being around for a lot longer with the way TV shows and how they are consumed are going and I don’t even know if it’s any good but it’s been a big part of British culture for a long time.

Well before my time! | | | |
I ended up watching the Ross Kemp documentary on Eastenders tonight on 09:26 - Feb 18 with 437 views | JimmyJazz | The BBC seem to recognise their staple popular shows and just keep churning them out with no end planned, Silent Witness, Casualty, Doctor Who. Eastenders is a bit different as soaps are intended for longevity, but i don't see it ending anytime soon. Some of the shows that go on forever are good, but it's very safety first with the BBC and little appetite to try something new instead as it maybe represents a risk
