Especially so if you don’t buy players from Europe, Africa or Asia.

How did that work out for Burnley last season?

Archie Gray signed for a reported £40m. And was given the runaround more than once. No, £20m doesn’t buy you the best.

Philogene is clearly talented but a little lightweight at the moment. He’s not alone. The sheer strength of most PL sides and their fitness are a different level.in daft, £50m doesn’t either if the bloke play8n* for Chelsea up front was anything to go by.

No, we are not getting much in the way of breaks, whether that’s injuries, refs or simple stuff like the ball breaking for us. But that happens if you are not winning games.

When it comes to it, they are giving their all. That’s all that really matters. Whether it’s mistakes, not good enough, players out of their depth it’s all to be learned from if manager, CEO and owners know what they’re about.

They’ll get no criticism from me. I’ll leave that to the moaning scapegoat brigade.

Absolutely hear hear! Thank you Churchy.

Ben Godfrey’s performance escapes criticism? Genuine question, why?

Ok. Because one club doesn’t recruit well, we shouldn’t bother. Cool.
