Does anyone else struggle to see what he brings to the side? Seems unfair to talk about 1 player after such a collective dismal team performance last night,but I can only recall his hopeless long "pass' into touch in the last few minutes when i remember seeing him on the pitch.

He's not a premier league standard player, is the simple truth of the matter.
A few on here suggested we needed another cm option in January, and I think they were right. If we could have kept Phillips and Cajuste fully fit we'd be in a better position now. |
And even if we go down, I would have thought we couldn't go into the season with him as our starting midfielder in a midfield two. |  | | |

That probably says more about your expectations if you think Jack Taylor is going to tear apart Bruno Fernandez. He’s a perfectly competent a championship player, but nowhere near the level of those Utd players. |
Where on earth did i say i excepted Taylor to tear up Bruno Fernandes? I said I would have excepted a bit more,which goes for all 10 outfield players from Wednesday.
Again,as stated on more than one occasion on this thread,I'm talking about Taylor in general since he has been at the club,not just his performance at Old Trafford. | |

I said the same to my boy last night,about throwing bodies forward. Our goal difference is awful anyway,so may as well lose 4-2 actually trying to make something happen, rather than see our a tedious,tepid,safe,(whatever you want to call it) 3-2 defeat. I'm sat here now still trying to understand what we were actually trying to do 2nd half... |
After subs we had Delap, Hirst, Clarke, Philogene, Broadhead and Szmodics on the pitch so not sure there was any lack of interest in "throwing bodies forward". More a case of struggling to define roles on the pitch, and lacking the creativity to play the killer pass I think. |  |
