Although PSR is a big handicap, I do think the 5 subs rule makes it almost impossible for promoted clubs to compete.
When it was a 3 subs limit, the bench wasn't nearly as tactically dangerous as it is now.
If we manage to compete with an established team for 60 mins, they can just bring players worth £20-£40m off the bench!!

Yeah, and in League 1 especially when our bench was stronger than other teams starters.
You're right, in balance we have benefitted from it too. It just works against us in the Prem.
