I will say Notts Forest did not play well and Ipswich worked hard to get through the game at 1-1.

The last penalty was abysmal and considering Taylor can hit a ball I can't understand why he decided to place it .

If in any doubt, just put ya foot through it. He should of studied the previous 9 penalties, all were hit with power.

That's Villa and Forest now that didn't play well against us. Just maybe a bit of credit should go to Town for the work rate, the closing down, the defending etc.

After a long night of football it would be a good idea to blast the ball. The tension in the ground and taking a penalty in front of their supporters, a good idea would be to just use brute force and on target.

i'd like to take the opportunity to applaud McKenna for picking a strong squad when I didn't expect it. Imagined Muric or Slicker would be selected for goal duty while the attackers and midfielders that featured, expected at least half involved never to have been seen on the field. Said before years back and under different managers i..e. McCarthy, Hurst, Lambert, even Jewell or Keane (that) we wouldn't have shown the same hunger or desire in this years competition and would have been eliminated before the stage we got to.

If you can apply that, or the three Cup games we been involved with in this years competition, we have a real good chance of surviving a relegation.

Taylor's penalty reminded one of Southgate from 1996. All the previous (English / Germany) were if memory serves hit with precision and power but the final effort was lame and underhit. As with today.
