Super Sammy back to his turn and drive best on 20:53 - Mar 4 by FrimleyBlue | He was OK in general. But once that 60 minutes comes he then points a lot whilst he struggles to get around. That's no slight on him at the end of the day he's human and ageing as a footballer. But we have an unfortunate issue where we have a need to sub both our cms after 60 minutes it seems as none of our 4 options can do a full game. |
He was a bit slow in the first 30 minutes and then got stronger as the game went on. You must be watching it on rewind!!

About 90 degrees. (n/t) on 16:13 - Mar 5 by SamWhiteUK | Nope, still don't follow. EDIT: I should clarify - I don't understand how you can differentiate between being on the half turn toward the defenders or attackers unless the ball is coming in the opposite direction. In which case, I struggle to see how it's Samy's fault, or how a "better" CM would do anything differently. I'm not trying to catch you out or have a go, I just think I'm picturing the wrong thing [Post edited 5 Mar 16:30]

...imagine the ball being played along the halfway line to a player standing on the centre spot. My point is that SM's body shape would be turned towards his own defence as he receives the ball, rather than towards the opposition defence. The natural outcome of that is that the play goes backwards rather than forwards. It's not an exact science obviously.
