Well that wasn't pretty but it wasn't awful.

What it was however was disappointing

Same sort of set up. Same lineup of players and Same problems.

At 0-0 we were fine at the back. Everything was fine. Philogene was excellent at helping out as a kinda RWB, and forest weren't hurting us.

Phillips and cajuste were slowly starting to find Small gaps after patient ball retention from the backline.

Then our problems crept in. Davis couldn't get space so kept passing inside and we lost it. Then the front players were all either trying to take it themselves then lost it or they were playing again short passes to each other in spaces that weren't there.. this then lead to NF doing what they do best.. counter attacking.

We didn't adjust to this. Imo we needed to hit the ball longer and get runners in behind. I guess this is the proble when you select philogene Julio and hutch.. we didn't have anyone to do that. Delap did what delap has recently done and just tried to be central and when he did get little opportunities he didn't take them.

The goals we conceded.. well awful really weren't they. The first did greaves shout? We don't know.
The other two were comical.

But the defence needed the attacking part of the side to do their bit and they just simply didn't.

If you're facing wave and wave of attacks its inevitable you're going to give goals away.

I don't know what happens in training. But J clarke has recently shown his development yet was on the bench for Julio who I didn't know played the left 10 role and let's be honest he didn't have a great time at it.

Hirst for delap I've spoken about alot. I won't talk about it again but when he did come on I loved his runs. His goal and simple positional play.

All In all
Pretty much the game went how I thought it would go yesterday and today's press conference will again include things like we will take the positives etc. Small margins etc. Not a slight but just something that's natural now.

I think that is it guys and gals, for ever the hopeful but I just can't see how we can do it.

So please for me let me see the below team before end of season

Palmer
Townsend
Burgess
Wolfenden
Oshea

Phillips
Cajuste

J clarke
N broadhead
Hutchinson

Hirst

It may lose too. BUT I'd rather see something over something already seen and not worked.
