Winning his first cap at that level.

Is it definite that they will get caps? Seems more like a training camp in some ways, with three games in just a few days. Ukraine have their U20s there.

They've billed them as international friendlies, so I don't see any reason why they wouldn't.

Scored a penalty to make it 1-1.

I suspect that for official records, two of the games may show up as 'caps' but the game against Ukraine U20s will not. I mean if they had played a behind-closed-doors training game against a Turkish club side, it would certainly not have been a cap.

Some sites, for example this one, skip the Ukraine game. https://www.sofascore.com/team/football/northern-ireland-u21/6043

I guess one issue would be if a player had got a yellow card, would it count towards a suspension? (Am I right in thinking that in a club pre-season friendly, yellow cards don't but red cards do?) If so, then maybe it counts as a cap. But if it was one of those games where the ref goes to the coach and says 'I suggest you sub the number 7 before he gets sent off', I doubt it will be a cap. I

I would guess it's up to the association regarding friendly caps. The tournament was a bit of a mess anyway as the games switched around at late notice. Not unusual for teams to play other teams of a different age group in friendlies like that, Woody Williamson played for a Scotland U18 side against a Wales U19 team a year or so ago, if I remember rightly, and he was awarded a cap for that game.

I would think whether it's behind closed doors would be a factor, how many subs were allowed, and if the officials were UEFA (FIFA?)-allocated. It's unclear whether any tickets were sold for these games, but they do seem to have used only the normal amount of subs.

As you say, it's probably up to the individual associations:

I guess in a couple of weeks various official websites with appearances/goals will have been updated.

Whatever, great for Morgan that he was involved, especially as N.Ireland (full national team) have shown they are keen to play very young players. (Their goalkeeper against Sweden on Tuesday was only 19 and I think there were plenty of others who could have played for the U21s.)
