If he had been an ITFC player this year he would have gone seeing his studs lunge into Greaves ankle. Not intentionally but that is how our season has gone with referees picking up stupid decisions

It was at least a yellow. Not even a foul given as usual.
Agreed it should have been a caution but I can perhaps forgive the ref more missing that in real time. What amazed me was he didn’t book the player who repeatedly pushed Hurst after the challenge that Hurst was booked for. That was a straightforward yellow, not dissimilar to the actions that saw Delap and an Everton player both cautioned in the first half. Incredible inconsistency!

That was Branthwaite who was the player booked with Delap. A second yellow would have seen him off.
