I'm looking to set up a simple web-based log/discussion/calendar tool to help with looking after an elderly relative where the various carers are dispersed a little.
My first thought was a wiki (pretty free-form document creation and linking and PDF upload perhaps) with a calendar function for appointments and recurring events etc.
Can anyone recommend a relatively basic service that might be suitable? Of course there might be something other than a wiki (particularly post Covid I suppose) that you might recommend instead. The calendar part is quite important I feel, and could do with some alerting function within the app or even email etc.
I'm a former web developer so my tech competence is pretty decent, but knowledge is WAY out of date. Ideally I'd go for something usable out of the box with native hosting, but if there's a good solution which I can install on a server and do a bit of config, no worries. |  |

If you want a very simple and quite lazy solution you can just get a GMail account and all log into it. It has calendar with alerts and you can email logs from the account to the account that everyone can read.
This actually looks better and what you need but there is a small one-off charge from the looks of it (3 quid):

Couple of great ideas there Stokie, thanks, particularly the Jointly app which looks perfect on the face of it. What a great place this is, helps you think outside the box when you get too focussed on something. Cheers. | |
