When football was about the fans, and not agents and money. I feel sad for the younger fan base, they’ve missed the best ear of football IMHO.

Clearly some good photos encapsulating the moment but also rather random. I wonder how they chose that collection and how many others they selected out that they might have included.


Huge amount that could have gone in will have been left out. When I was doing that for a job, with digital you would shoot anywhere between 1500 and 2500 frames, that would be edited down to the best 20-30 for sending into the desks.

Of those 20-30 sent onto the wires 2-3 would be published, or more often than not 1 which was published multiple times by multiple outlets.
