the man's allowed a holiday! he can't hold a press conference for every job he's linked with.

just accept he's here now; one day he'll leave for a bigger job (like bobby & alf) or because he's failed or been deemed to have failed (like everyone else).

In my lifetime (Robson era onwards):

John Lyall semi-retired upstairs.

Joe Royle is debatable, but pretty much decided to retire when the squad was dismantled from under him. I don't think it would be fair to say he had been deemed to have failed, though.

Even Jim Magilton was couched in terms of "A new owner wants to bring his own man in", I think.

yeah, that's fair for lyall and royle.

jim was "deemed to have failed"by evans. for me, i think he should have had more time
