Very big on the Yorkshire club cicuit.

Made his debut at Swarcliffe WMC and despite a bit of a nasty review in the Yorkshire Evening Post by fledgling journalist M Parkinson went down a storm with the regular clientele. A comic very much in the Les Dawson mode.

Of course all that was off season and his prowess on the football field means that is how he is largely remembered. But for those in LS14 privileged to see his performance he will remain a comedian of the highest calibre.
