A couple of Tommy related Ws.

This track is a real curio. Probably the most un-wholike track the original band ever recorded.
Although they band pretty much played the whole of Tommy live through 69/70, this track never featured in the live set.

This track was originally pencilled in as the closing track on Tommy, but at the very last minute Pete Townshend added See me feel me / Listening to you, a much more fitting end to the piece.

Distortion becomes somehow pure in its wildness.

I worked at a venue where this act were booked but we had to cancel as only seven tickets got sold. Our bookings manager, from Middlesborough, started that day with exclaiming 'Bluddy Wormack and Wormack'. By the end of the day we were all wandering around muttering 'Bluddy Wormack and Wormack'...

No list of W songs would be complete without this joyous classic from Osibisa ....

If you like that I would recommend watching the band performing the song on Austrian TV ..

That reminds me of the time Mike and Bernie Winters came to the Copdock Hotel in the 70s, and only a handful of people had bought tickets. From recollection of the Evening Star report, they went ahead with the show.

A severely underrated band. The first song mirrors in parts the later song Another Girl, Another Planet by the Only Ones. And Stiff Little Fingers got their name from one of their songs.
