Szmodics seemed to be the main man at Rovers, while he'll be a big player he won't quite be that for us. With all our options he won't play every minute of every game, and I'm not totally convinced we've got the right position for him, unless we're going to change how we play.
Hirst also has question marks over fitness and the fact we tend to share our goals around the team suggests he won't necessarily be focal, albeit he will in a positional sense.
Teams are going to sit in against us this year, there could be some horrible frustrating games to watch, a la League One. Players like Philogene and Omari if he stays will be important for those scenarios. |  |
