Last week of the transfer window will be interesting 21:03 - Aug 6 with 1196 viewsFrimleyBlue

If we've sold hutch before that

Last week of the window they'll be some serious fringe players available or top top young talent available for loans with a lot of clubs in the champ having spent alot of their cash already or having to full a squads

But. It also gives us an amazing opportunity for January window too.

a niche perspective

Interesting and yet also tedious and annoying. Window really should shut before season starts or, better still, don’t have the window at all.

Can you imagine the drama if there was no longer a window, and someone came in for a player like Hutch 2/3rds of the way through the season eg mid-March, with us pushing for promotion?

The current system has it flaws, but the alternatives would have too.

I suspect we'll get a lot of business completed before the 1st of September.

As things stand, probable exits :

- Broadhead 7m
- Hutchinson 40m
- Baggott and Humphreys (out on loan)

Probable incomings :

- Cajuste (loan fee likely to be 1-2m)
- Akpom (loan fee, again likely to be 1-2m)

That'd leave us needing.

- Fullback cover (most likely on loan)
- 2 x central midfielders (one of a similiar quality to Jens, another younger happy to act as cover)
- 2 x wide players (to replace Broady and Hutchinson)
- Possibly another striker depending on the AHH situation

So on top of Jens and Akpom, probably another 5 in i think. McKenna likes to give himself a lot of variety off the bench, or did, when in League One and the Championship.

You’ve under cooked the exists. We have 5 keepers! Plus I make your squad size:

28 today,

-4 = 24 +2 = 26

Then

+5

= 31

Let’s say -3 GKs

That’s a squad of 28!

We would also have 3 loans Kipre Cajuste Akpom therefore only 2 more loan spaces which all count irrespective of age.
