Matusiwa was good and bad in equality, for me. The three named in my title looked weak, though. I must admit I was hoping for better from them in the Championship. Early days, I know, but it doesn't instill me with confidence that they are going to be an improvement on last year.

Agree re: Clarke, Taylor and Johnson. Can't see any of them being fixtures in the team.
I also don't see what Sammie Szmodics brings. Chaplin offers more in that role.
There were positives. Young looked class when he came on. I'm not Al-Hamadi's greatest fan, but I thought he also put himself about well and showed a hunger sorely missing in Clarke. |  | | |

My feed played up on a couple of occasions, so maybe I missed something, but I thought Johnson did fine defensively against a fairly difficult opponent. He also sent in a couple of cracking crosses. [Post edited 9 Aug 9:19]
