Rebuilding a whole side for Premiership.... 14:17 - Aug 11 with 569 viewsPippin1970

Burnley and Sunderland going for it on off chance staying up. Either sink or swim rather than keep promoted players. We tried that as well but not as much as them.

Sunderland are in a similar position as we were last yr - having a squad that hasn;t had time ro build strong enough to compete in the rem. They can learn from our lesson of buying untried players. I still don;t think it will be enough. Credit to them if they can pull it off.

Oh and another thing - they sold their best player (Clarke) before last season but improved without him. Maybe we'll be the same without Hutch (and Delap, and Sami and Azel and Burg ...!) Actually forget that!

Poll: Right now, who would you rather have as Prime Minister?

You have to remember that this was a Sunderland team that finished on just 76 points. They were 24 points off the top two when it was all said and done.

They had to turn over the squad to even bridge the gap to Burnley and Leeds.

I think they've got a lot to get rid of now. They've lost 2 first teamers and signed 10.

They'd do very well to stay up IMO and they might be in a small amount of trouble if they don't. Can't see many of those high profile players sticking around to see what the Championship is like.
