I'd never slate a Burns type signing for £50k from Fleetwood but Clarke from Sunderland for £15m looks a total shambles.

yeh it's mad isnt it. Same with Szmodics for me. We seem intent on signing players who've excelled for a season then playing them in a totally different role. Recruitment has been poor.

It's the main reason I think some players were signed by the club rather than the manager who then needs to make use of them. Go back the likes of fraser for example.
