With my calculations, the new Spanish striker means we will have 4 loan players in our squad. So am I correct that we only have space for one more? As apparently the maximum is 5 loans in the squad in the Championship.

So if that’s right, who’s the final loan going to be? If/when Hutchinson goes, my money is on a young premier league right winger in the mould of Omari when he first joined us. What do you reckon?

It's five in the match day squad. If you have more than five, at least one of them will have to be left out on match day.

Leaves us with space for a prom loanee late in the window is my guess.

Thanks for the clarification. In that case I still can’t see us having more than 5.

Probably not, especially as we should have money to spend on permanent signings still. If we do end up with six though, given how McKenna likes to use his bench I think it'll be Kipre who misses out other than when we want him in the starting XI.

Can we make a loan signing permanent outside the transfer window? Just wondered if that might be a solution eventually, even if we have to wait for the January window.

Could do it in January but not in between windows. I guess it might also depend on the wording of the loan contracts and whether all parties agree to an earlier deal, but in principle it couple be done.
