I'm not going to comment on the new lad from leicester as I don't know much about him But i'm seeing people say he's no Omari replacement Is it just me that doesn't actually see us needing an omari replacement? KM preferred Omari in the middle roaming across, he went wide when injuries required him to do so. We've got the omari skill element already in the side via Philogene - People really do need to remember what Omari was like when he first came in, it took a good 6 months plus before we saw the real deal, Philogene has begun to show us what he has, but even more impressively is Philogene has the same determination at winning the ball back So we look at the middle, no doubt we are out for another CM, but we have Cajuste and Azor who can both carry the ball up the pitch, The central 10 role is a fighout it seems between chappers, sammy and potentially Akpom. I don't see where a specific Omari replacement comes in? KM has got Davis learning to invert and become a fullback version of a 10, so it makes sense that this season we may stick to having a right footed wideman who can stay wide and work with the right sided fullback and getting crosses in providing a bit of balance between the far sides of the pitch. This new fella coming in gives us 3 options for RW, 2 options well 3 if you include Sammy for the left, with the 10 being competed by chappers, sammy, akpom. I don't actually see where an omari replacement comes in, but also what is an omari replacement? [Post edited 22 Aug 10:02]
