That was us a few years ago and we used to take great delight in beating teams that fans thought they could just turn us over… some of fans (social media) mostly don’t come across great and acted like we were going to walk this league! We’ve never walked anything in our lives! Always made it difficult for ourselves sand have had to battle for every bit of success we have ever had.. Even in 81 UEFA cup final we made hard work of it!! Preston players showed heart today to get three points, ours didn’t! Fair play Preston! We must put more effort and show more courage! | | | |

I imagine they’ll put up with it for now, having beaten us and Leicester in the first couple of games.
Seem to recall they had a great cup run last season before capitulating alarmingly and narrowly avoiding relegation. |  |

As for Preston we are in no position to have a go at them. They won today. Remember that? They scored a goal and won the game. We barely managed an attempt on goal, as usual. Perhaps the time to have a dig at Preston is when we have a team with heart and energy and that knows what it’s doing. |  | | |

Half the teams in the Championship, maybe more, are going to set up like what Preston did when they face us this season. It will be a repeat of the Lincolns, Cheltenhams, Morecambes etc. we faced back in L1 to terrible effect.
McK's team both new and old (22/23) failed to break these low block sides down, and if we don't improve in this aspect it is going to be a very long season. | | | |
