Serious but scary thought... 03:09 - Aug 24 with 563 viewsAdelaideblue

Firstly no one wants this as it would mean faiure....

But we are where we are (hopefully about to click).

If we don't however, how long does KMcK have...?

5 games (currently no wins in 3 league games and knocked out of cup by lower league)

10 games ? By which time autos may be out of reach...?

Hopefully we click against Derby...

Won’t happen, they’re all collectively joined at the hip, especially with Ashton and his recruitment responsibilities. The powers that be will let it play out post this window for a long while yet. While last season is far from irrelevant in terms of our current situation, they’ll be looking at this one as its own entity.

I think we would have to be almost in the relegation places in like 2 months time for it even to be a remote possibility. Not to mention the massive contract he signed last off season. It’s not even worthy of conversation for now.

As poor as our starts been, I also think this “thought” will probably seem a bit laughable to us in 6 weeks. At least that’s my hope for now. However, the pressure for our season goals will start to ramp up sooner if results don’t improve.

Worth noting, he hasn’t just become a bad coach, there’s a lot going at the moment, it’s a bit of a chaotic time I think. As frustrated as I am with some of the personnel decisions made over the last 16 months and whatever our opinions are during the week, online or at the pub, we need to back the players on the pitch, all of them.
