In summary - another transaction that feels like Ipswich have paid over the odds, but a good player, well liked and rated, with a killer long throw. Orthodox and experienced right back.

Always a very reliable performer, doesn't pick up injuries and now one of the more experienced heads in the squad without being past his best. His long throw is a further attacking threat and he provides a good aerial presence for a full back.”

Over the years Furlong has been rock solid in pretty much every department. The big job will now be to replace him.

Probably one of the best right backs in the Championship for me but understand that what we’ve received is a good fee for him. Wish him well (apart from against us).“
