Have to collectively beat the ITFC Catch 22 malaise 18:43 - Sep 1 with 371 viewsunstableblue

Fans, McKenna, Players and Club need to break out of this potential Catch-22

‘Catch-22
Noun
an impossible situation where you are prevented from doing one thing until you have done another thing that you cannot do until you have done the first thing‘

We need to start winning to build confidence amongst our players to then play to their full potential and to then achieve more wins. But we won’t win without the confidence being there in the first place!

Add in that fans’ support is a factor in player success, and fans are disengaging due to a lack of wins and the replacement of players that played well due to confidence but are actually inferior to the new players coming in, who need confidence.

McKenna driving culture, players stepping up, fans backing vocally and of course a bit of LUCK can break this cycle. And we have to break it. Because McKenna and a squad refresh is our only future.

That Hirst penalty Saturday… will a season turn on it?

COYFB - Clarke’s equaliser is something that may tip our fortunes in the right direction.

Poll: Has this been a positive transfer window, and are Town stronger for it?

Well at least from that list and contract dates, loans excluded you can see whose ripe for being next out the door come January and next summer.

Walton
H Clarke
Taylor
Burns
Poss Humphreys

So more changes in personal depending on how the season is going. But then are some of those time already up anyway.

I know it's not seen as the right thing, but we hear alot about if we keep playing and training the same way it will come

It's true in most cases, but what IF we just really need an ugly win, stick our biggest lads on the pitch, be direct, be ugly, use furlongs long throws and just be a nuisance for a couple of games until we've actually had training time to work on patterns of play etc

a niche perspective
