Tenuously linked football thread question - mobile phone provider 16:07 - Sep 12 with 604 viewsEJP

Hello all .

My mobile phone contract with O2 is up for renewal and due to their shocking signal when there's anywhere more than 10 people in the area ... I can never get a signal at Portman Road during a match.,

I'd like a provider that can provide a service at ITFC - what are the rest of you using? I stood next to someone at the Bournemouth match last season who was getting constant updates via id mobile - are they still any good?

My lad usually gets a half decent at many grounds with EE, much better than my O2.

I’m with EE and get signal most places, including PR. Managed to get quite a good deal with them when I last renewed, all unlimited, including in Europe too.

Worth checking out Uswitch - sometimes they have some good exclusive deals on there.

I'm on iD and have no issues with signal or 4g at the ground (I only check half time so it wasn't me with the "constant updates"!!). They have some really good sim only contracts if you have a decent phone you want to keep.

They use the 3 network, so assume you'd be ok with them as well.

I am with Lebara (Vodafone) on a £4.50pm package, which includes EU roaming. I cannot receive any data at all in or near the ground, which is one reason I get annoyed when the announcer does not read out the away team, the half-time results, or the full-time results / latest scores.

I see ID offer SIMs for £6pm, including EU roaming, which is a good price if the coverage works well.

I'm on Vodafone and it tends to be temperamental during half time, but far better than O2.

Poll: Who would you play at right centre back on Saturday?
