from 2 years ago. Fallible, slightly disjointed at times but also, absolutely sensational and unplayable, in periods. Leeds in both games in that season, looked completely average, yet still seemed to blow us away with their quality.
In our previous games, I was expecting us to muddle through. A disconnect in our play and some missing confidence was always going to be part of our early season. I did however expect that the quality we have to shine through and be enough to get us over the line in most games. I think it can be argued that fortune has has kept a disappointing start not being a terrible one.
Last night finally showed, we have more than enough quality to tear most teams in this league apart. Hopefully this is the awakening for this team, and we will now start to see more confidence starting to ooze from the group.
When Leif and Philogene started to purr last night, I posted that once this team clicks we are going to destroy some teams, I wasn't expecting that to be Sheffield Utd in that game, though!
Being an Ipswich fan is such a rollercoaster ride! I consider myself a fairly level-headed poster, but even I have got dragged into the negativity on here recently, and started to question our leadership. I know it's only one game, and not to get carried away, but last night was exactly what my hopes of our early season would be! Let's hope this is part 2 of our special journey with the leadership team.
