A chance to get behind table topping U21’s on 10:30 - Sep 21 with 312 views | Churchman | Not been mentioned, but they had a great result against Chelsea yesterday and seem to have started well. It may be an outmoded view and lacking the excitement of 10 transfers a window, but I long for the day when we can again develop and play more of our own players to the highest of levels. I agree with George Burley on this. It’s what the club should be about. Is that possible with the current hoover techniques and Evans letting yoof waste away for so many years? Think the current U21 squad is a mixture of Academy products and players brought in from Premier League clubs. You won’t see much about U21’s on the Forum as they are doing well so nothing to moan about. Shame we didn’t achieve Cat one status a couple of years earlier. Playing against better quality can only improve the club at all levels going forward. |  |
