He's right of course. If the game wasn't finished, due to no fault of fans or players (perhaps the fault lies at Blackburn's doorstep), then a result can't be awarded. Simple as.

It'll feel unfair on Blackburn given the context of the game but if you take a step back, the game wasn't finished, therefore a result can't be awarded.
