Trying to decide how to get to Ipswich tomorrow.
Trains from London aren't working normally - bus between Colchester and Ipswich. How bad is the scrum to get onto the rail replacement bus after the game?
And what's the A12 looking like these days in terms of road works near Marks Tey etc?

As far as I know, the Marks Tey roadworks are long gone ... Parking in town is £15 still I think on match days.
Can't answer about the buses, but if you do get one, ensure it's the right one(!) as some may go direct to Colchester, and some Manningtree. |  | | |

It doesn't often happen, but I've never got the bus back when the bus is from Ipswich because of the likely chaos given how many people go to the station normally after games. There may also be quite a few Portsmouth fans.
It's not so bad if the bus back is from, say, Colchester, because there will be only one train load arriving there, and many will get off there.
As a result, I will be driving tomorrow come what may and will park for free somewhere off the Wherstead Road. [Post edited 26 Sep 16:01]
