Not quite firing on all cylinders yet, but lots of positive signs 18:07 - Sep 27 with 352 views | Dubtractor | When we were good today, we were very good, with some cracking attacking play at times. You can see the connections coming together, the partnership of Cajuste and Matusiwa starting to dictate the play, Davis and Philogene working out where each of them need to be, and lots positive stuff too. But we still have a knack of getting sloppy for spells and allowing teams a bit too much opportunity to punish us - without our sloppiness I don't think they would have laid a glove on us. A real shame that Azon's shot hit the post rather than sneak in, as 3-0 would have felt like a cherry on top of a mostly good performance, instead of feeling annoyed to let in a soft consolation. I still can't quite work out what I think of Szmodics though. His energy and workrate is insane, but he seems to have almost no composure at all and it's like he is playing with the sugar rush of downing a litre of sunny delight before the game.

Not quite firing on all cylinders yet, but lots of positive signs on 18:27 - Sep 27 with 222 views | jasondozzell | Really good overview. We're still improving and you can see signs that we're much more of a side now. First half was very good. Thought we let the game drift and lost focus in the second. But as you say, if Azon's effort had gone in we'd be looking at a really positive ending. What's scary is that it feels like we're still only playing at about 60%. There's no doubt it my mind that we're going to be absolutely fine. Exciting season ahead. Nice signs of the spirit and bond growing between this set of players. Really liked how they all gave Egeli a tap of encouragement after his effort on goal.
