Patience required. Last night reminded me of KM's first season in league one.

He saw the value in using the whole squad and making changes but it took time and wasn't without teething problems. We drew a lot of games then too with similar situations with teams sitting in against us and catching us on the break.

I think KM is always thinking long term.

The run we went on towards the end of the following season wasn't an accident. We had to go through the bumpy bit to get there.

Our job is to remain supportive.

I thought KM's comments about the away crowd very telling. He's trying to really get the message across that we're a work in progress and we can help by not adding more pressure.

Yes, it would be very nice if for example people held their tongues when our 19-year-old who has just arrived from the Danish league does something that doesn't match their idea of perfection. People need to hold their nerve, because McKenna definitely will. Last night I came away from the stadium thinking I'd just watched a pretty meh, but acceptable, Championship away point; looking across the various platforms today you'd think the world had caved in.
