The issue seems to me that we try to play virtually the same style and type of player regardless of the situation.
We are so wedded to the high line, playing out from the back and broader McKenna ball that we never adapt to just beating the opposition based on our strengths and exploiting their weaknesses.

Why is that an issue? Lots of teams have stick to their way of playing and been successful. It’s not the stubbornness that’s the problem imo, it’s that what we do isn’t quite good enough. |  |

I honestly think if we just went more direct for the first say half an hour and settled into the game and then play our game but still mixing it up, especially away from home we'd do better, picking up second balls with the the players we have has to get us creating more... |  | | |
