I'm not sure it is illegal. None of the legal commentators at the time could find a suitable offence that would be likely to stick. Similarly, one would have thought the police would have used such an offence, rather than the wholly-inappropriate 'malicious communications'. Given that this is Led By Donkeys' usual MO as well, you'd have thought arrests would have happened before now if projecting onto a building was a criminal offence. You can put this in the same list as the arrest of anti-monarchy demonstrators at Charles' coronation, as well as the arrests of those who dared to challenge the status quo at proclamations and suchlike following Liz's death. |  |
