| Cambridgeshire Police referred itself to their standards committee 14:24 - Nov 3 with 1756 views | ElderGrizzly | Putting two and two together, sounds like they might have missed 3 opportunities to stop the train knifeman on Friday and Saturday. Three incidents they were called to and didn't result in capturing him. Now could be completely unrelated, but it sounds as though their actions now are on the presumption it is him. Edit: He was also charged with an incident from London on Saturday: "He was also charged with another count of attempted murder and possession of a bladed article in connection with an incident on a train at Pontoon Dock DLR station in east London in the early hours of the same day." Sounding horrifically akin to the Nottingham murders a couple of years ago in terms of missed opportunities to apprehend someone who is a danger to the public. | |
