I still stand by this. We had both show ponies out tonight and to be fair to them they were ace in the first half, but once it was turned into a battle we are not up for it. Hence jack Taylor must find a place in the middle with Azor and one of the show ponies.

I'm not sure he really had any part to play tonight in terms of improving us?

We got fairly lucky with some bad defending and once they had to chase the game we looked 10X more comfortable.

That's not take away from his impact more generally which I would agree has been really positive.

I think I had been calling for him to come back for a couple of weeks before that. To me it was obvious. I got even more ridiculed when I asked if we had any young, fit battlers in any of the kids teams. That was all that was needed and the rest of the quality up top can do their thing once we give them the ammunition.
