Ok will try to be constructive and add my own thoughts and insight with what’s going wrong

We have a team of some very talented individuals but individuals they are and are looking for what they can do for themselves before looking at options around them which slows down play

Too many times when on the counter players are needing to have a second touch onto the stronger foot before laying it off again slowing down attacks

Too many times playing out from the back when on a promising break the pass is tothe players feet or behind rather than in front stopping him in his tracks again slowing down attacks

We have no one able to drive through the middle to bring defenders onto them like Morsey could so are more predictable in having to use our wide men more making it easy to defend as none of them are that quick either - appreciate McKenna tried to get Hackney so not all doom on gloom but letting Morsey go I said at the start of the season was a mistake and still don’t think I’m wrong.

Players are too static once they have laid the ball off and are not trying to overlap or create triangles to play through the defence. Numerous times I have seen pass to a player 5 feet away and they have stood still after passing ? What’s that about ? What happened to the give and gos ?

We don’t have a player comfortable in the number 10 and every person we have tried doesn’t look comfortable again limiting our options and play through the middle and invariably meaning it ends our wide of going back wards . We miss the Chaplin threaded, one touch balls to get defenders disorganised and out of position.

Talking of chaplain, numerous times we get the ball into the box and lose the first header and then find literally no one on the edge of the box as a mop up player ? So many opportunities we have lost and even conceded a break away as midfield are too deep and no one is clever enough to hang around the edge of the box when crosses go in and expecting a defensive header away. How many goals have we conceded to teams that have such like
Minded players. I actually think egelli looks a very intelligent player and is always looking around him for our players and opposite players for that quick switch or pass but being out wide doesn’t get too much opportunity or pitch to play the ball into. I would like to see him play in is apparent actual position as a 10 as out wide he’s not really that effective or consistent enough.

When we attack our players have a tendency to bunch together or pass before any opponent is drawn towards them meaning we have utilised two players to one opposition player and
No gain especially as after passing a lot of players are stagnant and don’t move for the return ball .

As you can see I think we have a few issues , no real identity , players that have maybe been brought in that can’t play to the way McKenna wanted or are not as good as what he was lead to believe. Either way we have enough value and technical ability to win enough games to get into the playoffs but I don’t think the current crop of players are good enough to play the way McKenna wants and needs some additions to be effective - mainly a forward thinking, driving midfielder. Another physical striker but one that’s more clinical and another Hutchinson style player as would rather egelli play 10 and can’t rely on burns. Notice no mention of McAteer but he is not good enough in my eyes for what we need and was a vast waste of money. Maybe ogbene can come back and at least provide a pace outlet to make teams think twice about getting too close to players when the receive the ball which they can at present.

Any way my thoughts and I have watched every game so see this consistently every game which is rather concerning that’s it’s not been put right.
