We've got ourselves settled into a really good position now 23:03 - Dec 10 with 869 viewsDubtractor

The first 4 games gave us a bit of a handicap to start the season, 3 points from 4 games , and looking very disjointed.

But the 16 games since then has us in second place over that period, with the following stats.

9 wins
4 draws
3 defeats
31 points (just shy of the 2 points a game magic number)

30 scored (second best in the division)
14 conceded (best in the division)
6 clean sheets, including 4 in the last 6 games

And we all know that we can play better more consistently than we have, with that run including a number of sub par performances. But if that's the numbers we can get when including games like Charlton, Oxford, Blackburn then we have the potential to really motor when we get that consistency.

We all had a bit of a wobble after the Oxford and Blackburn games, but really important to look at the bigger picture, and see that the things appear to be slowly falling into place. The one thing that feels like we're missing is being more ruthless when we are on top in games - that second half tonight was a perfect example of that as we should have had the game comfortably won and saved that last minute nervousness.

Agree with this.
A clinical finisher away from a really decent team when we play with tempo.

Best bit of KM interview afterwards:

Town have now kept three clean sheets in a row in the Championship at home for the first time in nine years - does McKenna believe things are starting to come together?

“No, I don’t want to go down that route because I’m certain we can still improve and when you start to think it’s all coming together, then the next thing will come to bite you.

“It’s very much a group in progress, I can see progress, but you’ve got to keep earning that every day in training and in each game.

Don't get too excited by a win, don't get too down over a defeat.

It's an approach we could all benefit from.
