| The sales of Delap, Hutchison, Broadhead and Woolfenden 13:21 - Dec 14 with 1086 views | cbower | If reports are to be believed, we made circa £8 million profit on Delap, 15 on Hutchinson, potentially 7.5 on Broadhead and 4 million on Woolfenden. Rough maths, ca £35 million profit. Quite tidy methinks. Then I think harder. Whilst I know these players were NOT signed in the wake of departures of the above quartet, we currently have about £20 million worth of relatively recent recruits in Ogbene, Muric and Al-Hamadi out on loan. Between those three they have less than 50 first team starts! In terms of balancing finances, that's a significant part of the 35 million profit doing naff all for ITFC. Add to that the wages of Ben Johnson and Ashley Young who barely contribute and our £15 million centre half Greaves who is a bench warmer right now as we prefer a loanee we could buy for £4 million and that 'profit' is effectively squandered isn't it. And I haven't even mentioned the money spent on McAteer! | |

| The sales of Delap, Hutchison, Broadhead and Woolfenden on 15:00 - Dec 14 with 827 views | Edmundo | You can play this game in lots of different ways, but the value of our squad, on paper is higher. What we might actually get for any of them is a moot point, as it's more important what they bring to the club in terms of promotion and other income, rather than merely cashing in on them, surely? | |
