| Jack Clarke, Jack Taylor and Kasey for me tonight 14:14 - Dec 29 with 832 views | RIPbobby | I won't mind if we do our usual away cagey first 60 minutes tonight. I would play Jack Clarke on the left after how he played there 12 months ago. I'd also use the energy of Kasey and Jack Taylor for the first 60 and then bring on the show ponies for the finish. I'd probably have another fit player in the midfield too - to make us competitive. | | | | |

You've declared that Philogene and Egeli are show ponies who have no energy, both things are clearly false and there is really no need to be digging out our players like this. You also seem to be implying that Nunez is unfit. Just no need for it. SB

Hold on SB I have never in my lifetime ever said that one of our players is bad. Because they are clearly not. I never called Sindre or Phillogene showponies... I was referring to Cajuste and Nunez playing in CM when I wanted the energy of Taylor in there. Look what happened after I said it... he has had a good run in the team and made us more competitive. Nunez is not unfit... if he was he would be nowhere near the team. I still think him and Cajuste need to have free roles with minimal tracking back responsibilities and would treat them a bit like Matt Le Tissier if you like. SB dont call me out for things I didn't say or take them out of context. I support this club to the full and would never, ever say a bad word about a player without calling out what they are either good at or should be doing. Calling out players is counter-productive to what we want them to do. ps I hope your reading/interpretation improves.

I suggest that if you don't want to convey the sort of messages SB references, you are very much more careful with your wording...

"I would play Jack Clarke on the left after how he played there 12 months ago. I'd also use the energy of Kasey and Jack Taylor for the first 60 and then bring on the show ponies for the finish." There is very little other way to interpret this paragraph other than Clarke, McAteer and Taylor aren't show ponies and have more energy and the three players you've dropped who would then replace them are show ponies. "I'd probably have another fit player in the midfield too - to make us competitive." Having another player in the middle as well as Taylor who has already replaced Cajuste in your line-up means dropping Nunez you are implying he's not fit. I guess it could be read as dropping Nunez further back but then why not say that rather than saying another fit player. You've clarified your position now so I'll leave it there. I disagree about playing Clarke and McAteer but it's very possible that KM might well go as you've suggested but possibly not for the reasons suggested. Hopefully the team can perform today and get a valuable 3 points. SB [Post edited 29 Dec 2025 16:03]

Perhaps. You have to remember that sometimes when posting on here people use a tiny little mobile telephone which auto corrects everything and in fairness it is much harder to proof read on a 2 inch screen. When using a laptop or the like then people have much more chance of portraying what they intend. It would actually be useful to have a tick box for each message to say if you are replying on a computer or mobile as they behave very differently and maybe people would make more sense of what is happening. I am still pretty sure that SB misread what I put though.

Sorry I misinterpreted what you said too. I called Cajuste and Nunez showpnies 2/3 months ago and thus they both don't make my personal x1 tonight, but I think their quality against tiring legs at the end might be useful. The other mystery midfielder is exactly that... we dont have them on the books just yet. For clarity my Midfield would be... McAteer Matusawi Taylor J Clarke But my ideal midfield would have 5 with the mystery player being young/6 ft tall and can run for ever ala how Anderson? did for the U21s in the summer. Sorry for the misunderstanding and always remember I am 100% behind anybody who puts on an ITFC shirt. [Post edited 29 Dec 2025 16:13]
