Surely not likely to stand up to the test at ECHR 15 year old child coerced to join an outlawed terror group, feels like this will be overturned comfortably, or is there more to it ?
I think this is secondary to her potential Bangladeshi citizenship lapsing at age 21. She was not actually a Bangladeshi citizen when she was stripped of UK citizenship. She had never applied for or been to Bangladesh. The home secretary basically firmed it at the time.
We therefore made her stateless. It would be remarkable if it wasn't overturned as to me, it sets a precedent for making people stateless with only one citizenship.
It's relatively common for us to strip UK citizenship from dual citizens. This is technically very different. This is before you think about your points.
Judging by HUDOC, they’re at the stage where the UK government is being asked to answer questions as part of its observations on the admissibility and merits of the application. The Court’s questions indicate she is relying heavily on Article 4 of the Convention (Prohibition of slavery and forced labour). The Court’s questions are here (if links are allowed): https://hudoc.echr.coe.int/eng#{%22itemid%22:[%22001-247810%22]}
