So, I've been contemplating. Here's who I'd be looking at, with a view I believe they should be feasible (enough of this get Delap on loan nonsense) in terms of fee, wages, clubs who would sell to us, who may want to come to us and so on. Kept the model of younger with sell on value approach. First pick I love the idea of him and Egeli being our modern day Norwegian equivalent of Muhren and Thijssen.
1. Daniel Karlsbakk, plays in Norway, 22 year old, 6ft 4, 18 goals.
2. August Priske, plays in Sweden. 21 year old, 6ft 5, 18 goals.
3. Ibrahim Diabate, plays in Sweden, 25 year old, 6ft, 18 goals.
(These just finished their seasons so hopefully negotiations are more simple)
4. Kasper Høgh, 25 year old, 6ft, 17 goals. (Would he leave a champions league club?)
5. Jovan Milosevic, plays in Serbia on loan from Stuttgart, 20 year old, 6ft 3, 12 goals.
There's my strikers list, I'd love Sargeant, he's mustard (colmans pun intended), but keeping in mind where the bidding wars lie, where the fees get silly etc. Not sold on Joel Piroe. Was impressed by Lankshear.
Imran Louza at Watford looks class, but would they sell now they are flying? Hayden Hackney for me stands out as the best I've seen this season, but he passed on the chance to join already. Anyone got any other slightly lesser known players they would look at, wheres our next Luciano Civelli, who hopefully doesn't get injured after a dozen games just as it started to look promising! |  | | |  |
