If that's the case then why did it take so long for them to decide Harland was offside. Surely if that's the rule him being behind Pope would immediately class him as offside. They then wouldn't be looking at his foot being behind the defender to class him as offside |  | |  |

It’s subjective not for the fact he was fractionally offside but how much he limited the defender or keeper from stopping the shot. Which was pretty much zero. |  | |  |
